The day the Canon IPF 500 arrived it sat on a desk for sometime due to some very tricky inks not included, at least the right levels anyway. A not so large format printer that can do a lot given the right kind of mind and creativity, and perfect match for Peg Design. In order to test the IPF, i decided to grab the art of Mark Ryden, an artist featured on the current issue of Juxtopoz I had sitting on my desk. The Art was literally drag and drop from his page and re-sampled to fit the new size of 13x19 (A3+) from a 72ppi image.

I set up new colour overlays or the full colour spectrum and decided on Violet to match the new parlour wall I began.

The first test.
The prints turned out amazing and the next thing was to find or create a frame to suit the wall and the image. Well no sooner then the hunt begun then did My lovely partner in creative crimes found on the wall of Gino, a man who left for Belgium and wanted us to take up as much of his belongings as we could, at a reasonable cost;)
The Finished Piece.
So here we have now a colourful yet soft and classy art print to display what a mere drag and drop 72ppi image can be upgraded to and quality test for principle small production fine art form the IPF 500.

Business Cards

Somewhere between now and then, I have met a lot of great people, both talented and diverse in their skills and person that they took upon themselves the brave step to become more then a number on someones payroll. It's a challenge of all challenges to be ones own boss. The stories of the Rich and Famous, the lazy days of just sitting back and watching the bank accounts fill up like champagne cascading with the perfect shimming light while we plan the next big idea and pass it along, are all but a story. The truth is, we as Entrepreneurs are either still working a FT job while we are working towards Independence or jumped into the water to get as wet as it gets. I am proud to be in both those waters and to help in the first steps of getting people to know who they are and what they do, by the means of a business card and branding programs.
Below are just a few of those mentioned. Please look them up and see what they can offer you today:)

Hot Night in the City 2008

Client: Ron Popov
Product: Poster art, T-shirt and plaques
Name: Hot Night in the City
Year: 2008

While living in Kamloops and working for Visual Signs and Awards I was able to design all the visuals for marketing  and award items. Not much for a budget as the organizer basically operates this as a special interest non profit event, but it was rather fun to see all the classic cars in such amazing shape. there were many concepts made and all pretty different as for styles, but in the end, the classic rock style won the round.

A very basic poster design which was a collaboration between Peg and Tabu.
