May the 4th be with you.

Some years ago, 2006 specifically, I sat down to draw this little Yoda based on the animated movie, now a full blown series is probably better then the movies in depth and darkness yet is still highly underrated due to being animated. The stories are the inside in-between of Clone Wars (2nd), and Revenge of the Sith (3rd) and explains a lot of the story of how so much change came about in the last movie. Now, i was never a die hard star wars fan, but, i have always loved the original series right down to the first time i saw Empire Strikes Back in the theatre (pretty sure my first one). I remember sneaking out of the seat and running down to see the At At's up close by sitting right down on the floor in front of everyone and looking up in complete awe of how big this big robots were (not connecting the drivers of course;).

This little drawing was made into a clear coroplast birthday card wrapped up in hemp cord and tattered fabric, to symbolize the rugged condition, yet humble materials of a Jedi, who has seen and been through so much. I have no pictures beyond this one scan left, and there was blood spattered around with intense reds, and greens and Yoda in a much younger, angrier era, before he found the calmer sense of being we all learned to love.
